Greatland Publishing and Music Signs Local Songwriter
Front Royal, Virginia – August 30, 2006
Greatland Publishing & Music Company announced today that it has purchased six songs written by LeRoy Prince, a local musician and area truck driver.
Greatland’s president, B.K. (Brad) Haynes, has explained that the songs will be produced and recorded in Front Royal, the company’s home base, and in Branson, Missouri, where his corporation owns part of the musical production, “#1 Hits of the ‘60s.” Haynes, a singer, songwriter, real estate broker, and author of six books, is also host of the local radio show, “Valley of the Stars.” He commented, “The Shenandoah Valley is loaded with musical talent, and we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback about our show.” Prince is scheduled to appear on the show on September 17, 2006 at 9 AM on WZRV 95.3FM out of Front Royal. This show will be rebroadcast on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 8 PM on WZRV. “Valley of the Stars” also airs each Tuesday at 11 AM on WSVG 790AM out of Mount Jackson, VA.
Haynes said, “LeRoy is a talented songwriter, and I look forward to working with him on his other songs.” Haynes, who owns Safari Records, plans to record some of Prince’s songs with his band, The Mountainaires, a group that he formed in 2005 after buying the Buffalo Gap Music Camp in Capon Bridge, WV.
